Asterix & Obelix: Heroes

I worked as a game design intern on Asterix & Obelix: Heroes during my 9 week internship course at Uppsala University

My contributions

My primary responsibility consisted of creating mock-ups for the moment-to-moment gameplay interface and UI flow. This included screens such as adventure select, settings, battle sequences, deck collection, shops, and more. My work heavily focused on player navigation and the user experience. I prototyped in Figma to test the game flow quickly.

Other responsibilities included:

  • Partaking in game design meetings.

  • ​Communication and coordination of the art department for interface assets.

  • Creating and maintaining various Game Design Documents.

  • Creating a style guide and maintaining the Interface section.

  • Playtesting.

Reflections

I had a great time and learned loads from working with the Asterix team. This was my first professional experience working in game development, and it solidified my desire to work with games.
