Reflections
During this project, I learned that creating good puzzles is challenging and requires a lot of playtesting and iteration.
To create a natural feeling of progression, we level designers set up a plan for when new mechanics would be introduced to raise the difficulty. I was tasked with onboarding the player to use differently colored keys to open doors, which I worked on with the art team to ensure readability.
I also learned the fine line of balancing difficulty, where a level that is too easy will be boring, and a level that is too hard will be frustrating.
